Contracts form the basic legal framework governing how licenses can be used in a company. In order to be able to carry out long-term software asset management, it is necessary to have a comprehensive means of managing contracts.
In addition to all relevant basic information like producer, contract type, contract number, duration etc, Miss Marple 2010 can also maintain all versions of the contracts.
The contract versions as well as subsequent contracts are necessary to ensure audit safety. These contracts are entered into Miss Marple as documents along with subsidiary agreements and other contract-relevant files and can be monitored and compared at all times.
Not only license and software contracts are to be listed in the asset and license management processes but also SLAs, tenancy and leasing contracts, guarantee contracts and service contracts. The options are all part of the service provided in Miss Marple 2010.
Whatever the type of contract, all contracts are associated with costs, leasing rates, rental prices, software costs, hardware maintenance costs etc. These costs are entered in Miss Marple and can be evaluated in a wide variety of analyses, providing an optimum and comprehensive overview.
Contracts are often associated with one another in a wide variety of relationships. For example, a maintenance contract is dependent on a purchase agreement and is equated with it. Where complex interdependencies between superior and subordinate contracts exist, a constant overview of duration and cancelation periods of the associated documents must be available at all times.
